Matheran – Nature all the way

Matheran is a pollution free ecosystem. Its easily accessible and can be covered in 2 to 3 days depending upon what all portion you want to cover. Matheran is well connected from Mumbai & Pune.

From Mumbai you can catch a local train till Neral & from Neral you can hire a sharing cab till entry point. From entry point you have to either walk or take a horse as from entry point to main market its a 2 to 3 Km trek as Matheran is pollution free one will not find any vehicle in the premises. Path are simple hence it can be covered on foot. Market is not that big so you will find everything that is required at one place.

To roam around you will either need to walk or hire horses depending upon your budget you can choose any of the option. But i will suggest walking through the jungle as it will be unique and remarkable experience. You can test your survival extinct 😀 while roaming in Jungle as there as no sign board, not much people around & network is not that good.

All the points can be covered by walking depending upon your stay you can set your priorities. Every point has its existence, its view & its calmness. Dam is must visit point according to me, the reason i m saying so is because you can sit around the corner of cliff water drops & wind will touch your face at a same time there is sudden drop down few meters from the edge to make thing interesting.

There are many points in Matheran that will take your breath away. If interested one can try various adventure activities like  zipping, horse riding etc.

Accommodation: One can usually find rooms easily but if u going on long weekend do insure to book in advance for better options & facilities. Rooms cost are moderate.  Cost of room varies from Rs 800 to Rs 4000 per night depending upon your choice.

Bored of spending weekends in Pub and disc you can surely try this natures heaven for once.
